Inner West Meals on Wheels Service
Our Philosophy – To provide nutritional meals, care and support services to frail aged, people with disabilities and their carers to enable them to be more independent in the community and remain living at home as long as possible.
Meals Service is critically important in supporting our client’s nutritional status. A variety of meals are available so that we can cater to the individual needs and tastes of our clients. We are offering, chilled, frozen or heated meals, culturally specific meals, modified meals and special diet. This include meals for clients with more complex health needs including chronic diseases and dementia.
Social Support Services
Meals on Wheels Service organise and deliver a variety of meals five days per week including monitoring clients’ meal acceptance and consumption, food safety, general health status, and social, emotional and physical wellbeing. We are also offering other support services such as shopping, social support, individualised meal plans and many others.

Meals are provided by the various food catering companies to give clients variety and choice. Our suppliers include Flagstaff Fine Foods, Master Catering Services,Canterbury Meals on Wheels, PFD Food Services.
Each client is assessed on an individual needs basis and notified within 24 hours if they are eligible for the service. In most instances new clients can be provided with assistance immediately with meals being supplied on the same day if necessary.
Meals on Wheels Service is a Commonwealth Home and Community Care Program (HACC) funded by the Department of Social Services, which provides meals for frail aged, people with disabilities and their carers living in the Inner West. The service is dedicated to delivering the highest quality, reliable, cost effective and tasty meals to our clients.
