Becoming a Volunteer

Volunteers are crucial to the running of daily services within BCWS. Over 50 volunteers are responsible for tasks such as Reception and Customer Service Officers, Administration Support, Bus drivers, Information and Technology Support, Counselling and Meals on Wheels deliveries among many other roles. Specifically the Front Desk Staff and Reception Team are the first contact that many clients have with the services at BCWS.

Joining Our Management Committee

The management committee is responsible for directing Burwood Community Welfare Services activities towards the achievement of our vision and fulfilment of our mission while living our core values. It is responsible for approving strategic direction, monitoring implementation and fulfilling stakeholders’ expectations, along with overall performance, compliance with relevant laws, codes of conduct and ethical standards and for the oversight of risk management.
